Davante Adams posted a series of family pictures on his Instagram wishing his fans on the occasion of Christmas in December 2021.

In the photos, he was seen posing alongside his wife, Devanne Villarreal, and his baby daughter Daija Leigh.

Additionally, the football wide receiver announced his spouse's second pregnancy, which was evident in the cover image.

Adams had announced his wife's first pregnancy on his Instagram in July 2019. And on September 20 that year, their daughter Daija was born.

Getting to Know Davante Adams' Wife

On January 14, 1993, Villarreal was born in Salinas, California, to her father Gustavo Villarreal and mother Barbara Davis, who worked as a fitness model.

After her parents went separate ways following a divorce, Villarreal was raised by her father and step-mother Adelaida Villarreal.

However, her parent's split did not prevent Villarreal from maintaining a close bond with her biological mother.

She grew up alongside her five siblings, including her brother Logan Vonne, a renowned TikToker, and sister Alyssa Esparza, a successful makeup artist.

Likewise, her other brother Nate is an aerospace engineering student at UC San Diego. Her remaining two siblings, Celeste and Christopher, are high school graduates.

Villarreal completed high school at Averette Alvarez High School and later went to Fresno State for her college education, where she met her husband, Adams.

She is a licensed esthetician and skincare expert who runs a clinic.

Davante Adams' Wedding with Wife

After meeting each other in college, the couple started dating shortly.

Although details of their initial meeting remain unknown to the public, speculation regarding their love life started after Villarreal posted a picture of the two on her Instagram account in March 2013.

Flash forward to July 2017, Adams asked Villarreal to join him for a photoshoot trip to the Bahamas. She came along seemingly unaware of her boyfriend's plans of proposing to her.

During their time in the Bahamas, the NFL player proposed to her while walking down the beach. Villarreal accepted the proposal, and soon after, a date for their wedding was fixed.

Later, Adams took to Instagram to announce the engagement. He posted a picture where he was seen getting down on one knee with a ring while his girlfriend seemed amused.

On June 23, 2018, the couple tied the knot during a private ceremony hosted at Pebble Beach in Monterrey County, California.

The ceremony was attended by the couple's family and friends including Adams' former teammates Bryan Bulaga and Aaron Rodgers.

For the main event, the bride was dressed in a strapless white gown while the groom rocked a black tuxedo.

Soon after their wedding was over, the newlywed visited Santorini in Greece for their honeymoon.

On July 23, 2021, Adams celebrated his third wedding anniversary with his spouse by posting the couple's wedding picture on Instagram.

"Happy anniversary love. 3 down," Adams captioned the photo where he was seen kissing his wife.
